metrIQ is in open beta — every plan is half price for your first 6 months.

Install metrIQ on your phone

Add metrIQ to your home screen so it opens like an app — and what to do when the install banner doesn't appear.

metrIQ runs in your browser, but it's built to live on your home screen. Once installed it opens full-screen, with no address bar, and it remembers you between visits — it behaves like any other app on your phone.

The easy way

Open metrIQ in your phone's browser and sign in. After a moment a banner slides up from the bottom offering to install. Tap Install, confirm, and the icon appears on your home screen.

The banner only shows when your browser supports installing and you haven't installed metrIQ already. If you dismiss it, it stays away for a while so it isn't nagging you — so if you change your mind, use the manual route below.

On iPhone and iPad

Safari never shows an install banner, so this is always the manual route:

  1. Open metrIQ in Safari — not Chrome or Firefox, which can't install to the home screen on iOS.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add.

On Android

  1. Open metrIQ in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu in the top right.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
  4. Tap Install.

If nothing happens

A few things block installing:

  • You're in a private or incognito window. Installing is disabled there. Open metrIQ in a normal window and try again.
  • You're using an in-app browser — the one inside Instagram, Facebook or Gmail. Tap the menu and choose Open in browser first.
  • It's already installed. Check your home screen and app drawer before installing again.
  • You're on iOS but not in Safari. Only Safari can add to the home screen.
