Everything you log — meals, workouts, weigh-ins — can be corrected two ways: by telling Sophia, or from the diary itself.
Telling Sophia
This is usually the fastest route, and it works from anywhere in the chat.
To correct an entry, describe what actually happened: "actually that wasn't a burger, it was a pizza" or "my lunch was 600 calories, not 800." Sophia logs the corrected version and removes the one it replaces in a single step, so nothing gets double-counted.
To remove an entry without replacing it, say so directly: "scratch that lunch, I didn't actually eat it" or "delete my last weigh-in." If she isn't sure which entry you mean, she'll ask rather than guess.
Adding to something you already logged is different from correcting it — "forgot to mention, I also had a coke with lunch" adds the coke without touching the rest of the meal.
Using the diary
Open the diary and find the entry for the day it happened. Each row carries its own controls:
- A pencil edits the entry's contents — the name, calories or macros for a meal item, or the details of a workout. Weigh-ins don't have this control: the value itself isn't editable from the diary, so to change a recorded weight you'd delete it and log the correct one, or ask Sophia to correct it.
- A clock edits when the entry happened — useful for a meal or workout logged against the wrong time. It opens a simple date and time picker; save it and the day's totals recompute against the new time.
- A trash icon deletes the entry outright, with a confirmation first since it can't be undone.
A meal logged with several items at once shows as a group, with its own time/delete controls for the whole meal alongside per-item controls for each thing in it — so you can delete only the side you didn't actually eat without touching the rest of the meal.
Fixing only the time
A wrong time is a different problem from a wrong meal or workout — nothing about what you logged needs to change, only when it happened. The clock control in the diary is built for exactly this: open it, adjust the date and time, save, and the day's totals recompute against the corrected moment without touching the entry's contents. This matters most for meals, since the diary groups a meal's items by the time it was logged — a time that's off can split one meal into two cards, or merge two separate ones into one, and fixing the time re-groups them correctly.
You can ask Sophia to move a time too, but a chat correction works by relogging the entry, so give her the full details again alongside the corrected time — "that breakfast was actually at half seven, not eight, still the eggs and toast." When there's nothing else to restate, the diary's clock is the faster route.
Which one to use
Neither route is more "correct" than the other — use whichever is faster in the moment. Chat is quick when you're already talking to Sophia about something else; the diary is quick when you're scanning your day and spot something that's off. Both end up at exactly the same data.
